£150
Four heavily beaded 1920’s evening bags: a floral designed bag in green, plum, black and an iridescent blue fitted with a cream celluloid frame painted with red birds, press-button opening, beaded strap, lined in green with silk flower border; a second bag with deep cream flower-embossed celluloid frame, bold colours of brown, ginger, yellow and green, deep looped beaded fringe; a navy blue bag with unusual additional beaded side straps, the designs in red and green, the frame of cream celluloid, pierced, with matching chain strap; and a final bag with deeply scalloped bottom edge fringed in blue and black beads, complementing the blue of the side bag panels, the central panels in brown, all panels designed with flowers, fitted with a faux tortoiseshell press button clasp, mirror attached inside, lined (4)
Generally good and strong, a few beads lacking here and there. The lining of bag one is probably a replacement, and in bag two is distressed.
