A scarce first edition copy of Forster's 1910 novel about social conventions, codes of conduct and relationships in turn-of-the-century England. One of the authors best known works, considered by many to be Forster's masterpiece; together with 'A Passage to India', London, Edward Arnold, 1924, 2nd impression, original cloth, bookplate of the noted diarist Constance Miles [née Nicoll] (1881-1962) on front pastedown, and with her contemporary ownership signature/inscription on FFEP (2)
