Great Britain: Clevedon Pier Company, one share, 186[9], #571, black. The company was formed in 1866 and the pier opened in 1869. Steamship services were operated to shorten the route to South Wales which was currently around the Bristol Channel by Great Western Railway. In 1891 ownership of the pier was transferred to the Council. Fell into disrepair and the pier collapsed in 1970. Restored in the 1980's and 90's and now stands as a grade 1 listed structure. GVF.
