Historical antique Sioux American Indian strike-a-lite, harness leather and beadwork steel button-to-flap pouch with attached line of cone-shaped metal chimes. Along with a ink inscribed card from Doctor Charles Arthur. Verso, found near the body of a Sioux Medicine Man killed at the Battle of Wounded Knee, S.D., December 1890. Given by a Captain of the 8th Cavalry to Caroline Wallace whose husband, Captain Wallace of the 7th Cavalry, was killed during the battle. Provenance includes original documentation and battle site photograph (due to the sensitive nature of the photo, we will only provide it by email.
