A smokebox numberplate, 48537, from a LMS Class 8F 2-8-0 No 8537 built to Railway Executive Committee order by the LNER at Doncaster, Works No 1988, and allocated new to March on 18 July 1945, becoming BR 48537. It spent its BR days at Holbeck, Stourton and Royston from where it was withdrawn on 30 October 1967 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Great Bridge. The front repainted. (Postage Band: D)
