On the left side of the grip is the Enfield circular inspection cartouche (faint but visible). Barrel 7.5" with Colts New York Address. Serial Number:179788 -L- on all parts including cylinder and barrel wedge. British view and proof marks, brass backstrap and trigger guard. Good one piece walnut grips. GWO with tight lock up. Note: all publications state this military variant as "extreamely rare" with only 110 examples currently recorded. Sold with research.
