A late 18th century single fusee mantle clock. The clock cased in flame mahogany, with steel engraved Roman numeral dial to clockface. The movement & face marked J. P. de Belly London; believed an Anglicised version of the French surname de Bailly or de Belle - a Mr. de Belly was recorded at Leicester Street, London in 1791. Raised on four gilt ball feet. In disrepair & in need of some restoration. Historic early 20th century lot label to glazed case.
