Early Pattern Victorian 1822 Infantry Officer's Sword


32 1/2 inch, single edged, narrow, slightly curved blade with fuller.  Etched foliage scrolls and crowned VR cypher.  Brass Gothic guard with rear folding section.  Crowned VR cypher cartouche.  Brass stepped pommel with stylised floral decorated backstrap.  Shagreen covered grip with twist wire binding.  Guard retains part of its leather lining.  Contained in its black leather scabbard with brass mounts.
