A pair of patchwork curtains. Black and green silk interspersed with a hexagonal flower design, in various fabrics including jacquard, velvet and silk, with a white cotton lining. Length of each curtain approx 258cm, width approx 124cm. The client informs us that the curtains were originally quilts handsewn, and using Chinese fabric, by the naval officer Henry Taprell Dorling (TAFFRAIL) whilst serving in the Far East.
