A globe with stone inlay on a brass stand. This globe features the countries of the world inlaid against a blue sea, including lapis, agate, jasper, abalone, and sandstone, among other types. The names of the countries are written in red and the seas in white; the latitude and longitude are gold tone metal inlay. The globe is secured on a metal rod at the poles, and can tilt and rotate. The frame includes a compass in the center of the bottom, suspended between the three legs.
