Watercolour on paper, inscribed verso with artist name, title & date, along with a receipt from previous purchase. Frame: 42 x 37cm, painting: 28 x 21cm. MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST: Born in London, Pile apparently studied at various art institutions including The Central School, Goldsmith’s, Camberwell & Bournemouth Colleges of Art. During World War II he worked as a civil servant and became an official artist to the Information Ministry. He lived out his retirement in Whitby.
