A .450" Needham's patent swing barrel sporting rifle, 46" overall, barrel 30" with London proofs, the breech marked "J & G H Needham's Patent, 53 Piccadilly, London", a spring lever in the top of the frame allows the barrel to swing sideways to load, which also cocks the action, the top of the frame engraved "J & G H Needham's Patent No 1450", with safety catch behind the trigger, and walnut stock with chequered fore end and pistol grip.
