English School (mid 19th Century), Shipping heading for shore ahead of a storm, watercolour, indistinctly signed and dated 1855, 52cm x 95cm
Some slight foxing and discolouration on the vertical on the right hand side. There is slight discolouration on the vertical left hand side, particularly in the sky. There is some fading within the sky area. There is some intentional scratching out, visible in places.
The watercolour is presented behind glass, so apologies for the reflections on the images.
Later white card mount and later modern gilt frame.
