John Gould - 2 original lithographs of Sandpipers 1832-37.
These original lithographs of Bartram's Sandpiper (Totanus Bartramia) and the Spotted Sandpiper (Totanus macularius) are from John Gould's The Birds of Europe, issued in parts between 1832-37. These plates are numbers 71 and 75 from volume 4 of this work and were drawn and lithographed by J & E Gould.
Size: approx 22in x 15in (52cm x 36cm).
The prints are in excellent condition on thick, high quality paper. Please inspect the images carefully for any age related marks
