MARKINGS; 1868/9 covers (4; all with slight faults) to GB (3 "Via Marseilles") all endorsed and signed at lower left for the Concession Rate by Captains/Colonel; the 1868 pair to Scotland prepaid at the correct rates having 4as pair or with 3-Colour Franking (½a+ 1a+ 3x4as) all tied by mainly v. fine "DEYRA ISMAEL KHAN/11" duplexes, the 1869 pair to Doncaster/Bath with single 4as or single 6as 8pi both apparently above weight having mainly fine oval "MORE/TO PAY" marks, and so both charged "1/-" with mainly very fine scarce boxed London "EXCG/OZ/DEFICIENT POSTAGE/FINE" marks incorporating the numerals "3/9/1s" or "3/4½/7½d" respectively.
