c1860’s a wood fan with bold lithographed leaf, the recto showing two ladies of high status meeting with a king and courtiers, the reserves filled with classical architecture and figures, the carved and pierced monture of wood painted in black, decorated with colourful flowers and exotic birds, the verso with a family scene to the central cartouche, with children and a small dog, the reserves in dark blue and strong gold, guard approx. 27.5cm
In good order with slight rubbing to some folds.
