Cavaignac that an imperial decree has allocated a certain number of eagles, [standards, surmounted by an eagle] to each regiment¦particularly for¦the battle of Austerlitz, but that M. Clary not having fought with my corps, does not have the right to any of the eagles¦ He must present his claim¦to his own regiment since, according to your report, he deserves it.
