From The Estate Of Bill Owen (1914-1999) - Scrapbook - Bill Owen's earliest scrapbook covering his career in the early 1950s (1950 onwards), largely focussing on his time in America starring alongside Katharine Hepburn in Shakespeare's 'As You Like It'. The album is filled with personal photographs from his travels, his Variety Club Of Columbus membership card, photographs of Owen outside various theatres, various newspaper clippings of interviews and reviews, unseen personal photographs from the production (including of Katharine Hepburn), photographs of New York, a signed 8x10" black and white photograph of actor Aubrey Mather signed 'For my Happy Cown from his Happy Duke, Aubrey Mather - good luck Bill!', a signed photograph of Frank Roger 'To Bill Owen - from his Columbus suite partner, best wishes to a fine performance!' and other items. A completely unique and personal early archive relating to one of Britain's finest comedy actors. Housed in an early album. Album in poor condition, contents generally in good condition.
