1830-64 MAIL TO CONSTANTINOPLE/SMYRNA - INC. RARE CEPHALONIA "Da Malta" MANUSCRIPT - Fine 16 Feb. 1830 EL to Smyrna carried privately from Malta and posted in Cephalonia where marked in red ms " Da Malta" & with 3-ring "OFFICIO DELLA POSTA DI CEFALONIA" on the front, "CEFALONIA" d.s. on the flap, without any postal rate. Very rare Malta endorsement that we do not recall having seen before. Exhibition Quality. Plus to Constantinople: 1855/58 pair of ELs with small "CORFU" cds or fancy blue oval Cephalonia d.s. (latter with matching blue boxed "FRANCA) on the front; and 1862/63/64 trio of ELs all with large 2-ring blue "ZAKYNTHOS" cds's (1864 also with boxed blue "FRANCA" on the front), all three with scarce blue or black "LLOYD AGENZIE/COSTANTINOPOLI" arrival cds backstamps.
