A FINE LATE 19TH CENTURY IRISH OAK HALL / CONSOLE / SERVING TABLE, circa 1860, with raised back gallery of architectural form, and a very Irish design detail of a carved shell to the shaped skirt, raised on bobbin turned legs which taper towards the feet. Stamped ‘H.P. Kearney… Earl Street’. H. P. Kearney is mentioned at 22 North Earl Street (Dublin) in the Thom’s Almanac of 1859 as a cabinet maker, upholster, auctioneer & valuer, and again in the Freeman’s Journal of 1876 as Auctioneer, Valuator, and Upholsterer.
