1908 King Edward VII 1d Die Proof in black on white glazed card, dated "23 DEC. 08" and stamped "AFTER / STRIKING", initialled "W.P", 92x60mm. This die was produced in 1901; it is not known why De la Rue then took further proofs from the die in 1908. Very unusual and rare. S.G. £3,000. Photo on Page 16.
