A GWR cabside numberplate, 4974, from a GWR 4900 Hall Class 4-6-0 TALGARTH HALL built at Swindon in January 1930 and named after a country house in Mid Wales now owned by the Macdonald Hotels group. A long time Cardiff Canton engine, it moved in 1958 to Pontypool Road and later Tyseley, Stourbridge and Gloucester from where it was withdrawn on 13 April 1962 and cut up at Swindon Works in the week ending 15 September 1962.
