A JAPANESE WAKIZASHI SHORT SWORD IN DECORATIVE SCABBARD. With a 28.5cm straight blade with pointed end and single sharpened edge, with an undecorated steel tsuba and decorative cord wrapped grip of the type apparently used during the Satsuma rebellion of 1877, over a shagreen grip. In a black lacquerd scabbard inset with shell fragments in cloud forms, 56cm. *CR Not removed from grip. areas of loss to scabbard, a couple of nicks to the sharpened edge.
