A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 60854, DARLINGTON WORKS, 1939, from a LNER V2 Class 2-6-2 No 4825 built at Darlington and allocated new in April 1939 to New England where it spent most of its working life. Renumbered 854 in 1946, it became BR 60854. Its later sheds were Grantham, Leicester and Kings Cross, finishing its days back at New England from where it was withdrawn in June 1963 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", in ex loco condition. (Postage Band: B)
