A 19th century mahogany metamorphic table/library steps, the rectangular moulded top on plain legs of square section, hinged to one side enabling folding into a set of seven rung library steps, table measures 73cm H x 69cm H x 48cm D, steps 118cm H x 129cm W x 48cm D
Provenance: The Estate of Lord Kenyon, Gredington.
General tarnishing to metal fittings, 15cm hairline crack to the table top, a second smaller 10cm crack along with a large water stain and multiple minor scratches and marks.
Replaced screws to the bracket holding the hinged bar, spliced repair to RH front (tallest) leg at cross stretcher joint. Splice repairs at the brackets where the folding arms connect to the rails above the fourth step, general wear and grime commensurate with age and use
