A good early Victorian mahogany oval extending dining table. Fitted with three extra leaves and raised on turned baluster legs with patent brass and ceramic castors, the mechanism with applied label for Samuel Hawkins, Kingsland, London, height 74cm, overall length 340cm, width 137.5cm. The top is straight when extended, the top has been repolished at some point, the centre leaves are darker than the ends. The height to the skirt is 58.5cm. The winding action is good and retains the winding handle, the runners are smooth with little movement. There are a few marks and knocks, especially around the edge of the top, the castors are stout and run freely.
