A cabside numberplate, E3027, from a BR Class 83 electric locomotive built by English Electric/Vulcan Foundry, Works Nos 2931/E267, in September 1960 for the West Coast Main Line. Renumbered 83004 in May 1972, withdrawn in January 1978 and cut up at BR Willesden in February 1978. Chromed characters on a steel backplate which was fitted to the cabside, 32"x7½", in ex loco condition. (Postage Band: D)
