Early 20th Century British Deputy Lieutenant Bicorn Hat with original metal case. Decorated with silver gilt bullion wire thread acorn and oak leaf pattern ribbon with silver Kings crown button. The silk interior marked with the makers name "Stovel & Mason, 23, Conduit Street, London, W." (B.P. 21% + VAT)

Interior silk liner has worn and torn in places. Staining to leather sweatband. Some silver thread acorns appear to be missing. General wear and tear cosnumerate with age.
Metal tin case labeled "Gt. Northern Railway, London to Mottram." (Mottram formerly a large country estate south of Manchester). General wear, chips and scratches to metal case paintwork.
