A WWI GERMAN COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUE/ MEDALLION FROM THE BATTLE OF JUTLAND(SKAGGERRAK), the front of the medallion has an image of a man and the words Gorch Fock 22.8.1880-31.5.1916, there were made to commemorate the death of a famous German author Johann Kinau who wrote under the pseudonym Georde Fock, the reverse translates to 'For cultural merit in the field of the Naval station in the north sea', it was designed by Otto Placzek and measure approximately 75mm in diameter, Customers must satisfy themselves prior to sale in regards to conditions and authenticity, viewing is advised, condition reports are available on request
