Royal Marine Artillery Officer's rare gilt shako plate, circa 1855-66, crowned star with central laurel wreath and strap inscribed Per Mare Per Terram, silver globe with gilt continents to centre, silver fouled anchor above strap and silvered flaming grenade below wreath, 2 reverse loops neatly removed, otherwise extremely fine.
