Excellent collection on leaves of the 1858-79 plates, mint and used, with “SPECIMEN” ovpts on 1d (4) and 2d (3) some with gum, then with 1d plates mint (104), most fine with gum between pl. 71 and pl. 222, FU set of plates incl pl. 225, wmk inv 1d FU (31), 2d blues mint (2) and FU (26) with a duplicated set of plates, wmk inv (5) FU, 1870 ½d “SPECIMEN” (3), mint (19) with plates 1, 3, 8 and 19 noted, most with o.g., FU (46) with set of plates incl pl. 9, 1860 1½d Rosy Mauve ovpt “SPECIMEN” type 2 mtd, 1870 1½d rose-red with “SPECIMEN” ovpt, unused mint copy and FU (7), security underprints mainly FU on ½d (12), 1d (18) with various incl Copestake, W.H. Smith, Boyd, The Fore Street Warehouse, Vickers, GHW and OUS (under and overprints) and 1½d Copestake, also 1847-54 embossed range with 1/- “SPECIMEN” cut to shape, FU with various margins incl shades with 6d (5), 10d and 1/- (3).
