Religious interest - 19th Century brass Orthodox Christian candle stand from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, the traditional site of the crucifixion, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The candle stand with circular top, a central spike surrounded by candle holders, raised upon a bulbous stem, the triform base raised on three paw feet, complete with candles, H 121cm x W 34cm

The vendor was an acquaintance of the restorer for the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and, upon refurbishment of the church, this candle stand was deemed surpless to requirements and was acquired by the vendor.
