John Wickes of London. An early 19th century mahogany wall dial timepiece, the silvered Roman dial with date indicator above 12 o'clock, unsigned single fusee movement with anchor escapement and tapered backplate, 40cm diameter 14.5cm deep
Looks to have been restored within the past ten years or so, brass bezel with some very light oxidisation spots, original key a little stiff in what looks to be the original lock, silvered dial in good clean order as is the movement which is complete but not tested for timekeeping, oak back of case equally in good restored condition, label for a clock repaired dated 1980 to the lower door, no pendulum present or winding key.
