A VICTORIAN SILVER MUG
by John Hunt & Robert Roskell, London 1875, of tapering cylindrical form, chased with fruiting vine, the handle moulded as a vine, with a shield-shaped cartouche opposing the handle engraved with a monogram, the interior gilded, raised on a stepped foot, the underside of the base stamped HUNT & ROSKELL / LATE / STORR & MORTIMER / 6861. 9.6cm high, 8.7 troy ounces
Slightly mishaped at the rim and one area of the foot, sits firm, the gilding to the inside is slightly worn, otherwise in good condition.
