Boer War Casualty private purchase mess tin with heating stove and collaspable cup all contained within a leather case, with lid embossed to "Captain G. Ellison, 9th Lancers". Maker marked inside lid "A Barret & Sons, 63 & 64 Picadilly, London W". History: Captain George Paget Ellison died on 7/6/1900 from Enteric Fever. He was awarded Belmont, Modder River, Relief of Kimberley, Orange Free State Clasps to his Queens South Africa Medal.
