George II (1727-60), Pattern or Proof Guinea, 1729, by John Croker, second, young, narrower, laureate head left, reverse inverted die axis, crowned garnished shield, eight strings to Irish harp, edge plain, 7.87g (S.3672; WR 73 - R5). Extremely fine or better, lustrous. Tooled in reverse field to right of shield in order to conceal a scratch. Excessively rare with only 5-10 examples believed known.
