1882 Postcard essays with printed Post Card heading, oval "INLAND REVENUE / CERTIFYING STAMP" in the upper left corner and "Rough Sketch" on the front, printed by De La Rue in brown, on thick white or thin buff card. The proposal to produce formula cards with a printed certifying stamp, but postage paid by adhesive stamps, was never adopted. (2).
