A mid 19th century circa 1855 French gilt metal and enamel mantel clock. Gilt metal & pink enamel painted urn finial, mounted atop embellished enamelled Roman dial, beaded gilt detail surround, Roman style goddess head either side and foliate detail. Marked to verso '1855 Medaille d'Argent Vincenti'. Neoclassical enamel painted scenes featuring ladies lounging and plucking grapes. Complete with winder. Presented on a red baize lined gilt wood stand, with label to base ' Aubert & Linton, 252 Regent St. London '. Measures approx. 36cm x 28cm x 13cm, the stand 34cm x 4.5cm x 15cm.
