AN INDIAN MULTAN TILES PANEL DEPICTING QURANIC CALLIGRAPHY, 19TH CENTURY

A four-tile panel from 19th-century Multan, North India, skilfully crafted with vibrant cobalt blue, turquoise, and white glazes. The intricate design centres around a large floral medallion encircled by elegant Quranic calligraphy, radiating outward in a symmetrical arrangement. The central medallion, highlighted in gold, serves as a focal point, surrounded by swirling floral and foliate motifs.
