A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE KINGS OWN YORKSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY. A Great War pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 5143 Pte C.J.V. Williamson K.O.Y.L.I. Cecil James Victor Williamson served with numbers 5143 and 202258 with the 2/4th and 5th Battalions. He was the son of John and Frances Williamson of 217 Myrtle Road, Heeley Sheffield, he died of wounds on the 25th May 1918 and is buried Wast of Arras at the Bienvillers Military Cemetery, his headstone reads 'A good son and a kind brother'. He was 30 years old. *CR Slight surface marks only. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
