A PAIR OF IRISH GEORGE III SILVER SAUCE BOATS, Dublin 1770, John Craig, with punchwork rims the body embossed with bird amongst blossom, scrolled handle and on three hoof feet, each 21cm long x 10cm high, total approximate weight 19oz
Engraved with the crest of a perching owl within the oval cartouche under each spout.
Sauce boat 1 - The top terminals of the scroll handles do not quite match. Repair to same handle at top point of contact with bowl, one punch work edge repaired. One foot slightly dented to the bowl.
Sauce boat 2 - one repair and several cracks to the punch work rim. One repair to the top point of contact with the handle and bowl.
