Special information in light of COVID-19 **Updated Saturday 8pm**

• We are no longer allowing public entry into the auction house on Monday, ALL BIDS MUST BE ABSENTEE, PHONE OR INTERNET. The health of our customers and staff is by far the most important thing. We are currently following Government guidelines as to our operation and the advice of healthcare professionals


• Sunday viewing is still on (12-4pm) but we are only admitting a Max of 8 customers at any one time. We seem to be taking more extreme measures than most other auction houses, this is after taking advice of healthcare professionals. We would rather be considered over reacting than, by inaction, put the health of any of our customers or staff at risk.


• If you do decide to visit us please make use of the provided antibacterial gel pump & wipes provided by the front door. If you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19, or think you have been in contact with anyone who does, we kindly ask that you refrain from visiting us.


• We will not be allowing customers to handle items of jewellery, silverware & collectables from the cabinets. This is for obvious reasons. A member of staff has special instructions to show items up close if required. We ask that customers make use of the images in the catalogue where possible.


• We have added many additional images, dimensions etc. to our catalogue. Please make use of the condition report, or email us if you would like more information on any items

• We are assigning collection days by bidder number.
  • Bidder numbers starting in 1 & 2 will be Tuesday
  • Bidder numbers starting in 3 through 5 will be Wednesday
  • Bidder numbers starting 6 through 9 will be Thursday
  • People deemed at-risk or who have been advised to self isolate may collect the following Monday & Tuesday. We recommend paying online or by phone, and when collecting, we will bring items to your car, please do not enter the auction house, we will do everything we can to help you.
  This is to try and space out our usual busy times. More information will be included after sale. We will be extending our usual collection time for this.

• We are currently at the mercy of this pandemic, and the Government. If we are unable to hold a live sale, we will switch to a timed online only sale (this works much like eBay).



• We will be doing all we can to arrange at cost delivery to those who cannot attend for health reasons, or have been told to isolate.


• Those who do not intend to bid, we hope you will watch us online anyway!

These are truly stressful times for everyone, and although the items we sell may not be essentials (depending on your disposition!) we appreciate all those who will be supporting us over these next testing months. We are proud of the auction house we have built here, the staff who represent us and the reputation we have worked so hard to build, and are determined to see these tough times through. We wish the best of health to everyone, from all of us at Drake's Auctions, and look forwards to seeing all of you in better times.
