Medals (4) of 579 (740269) W.O.2 Battery Serjeant Major David Thomas R.F.A. (T.F.). 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal 1914-1920, Allied Victory Medal 1914-1918, and EVII Territorial Efficiency Medal. Resident of Llanarth, Monmouthshire. Originally served with 4th Battalion, South Wales Borderers 1890 until 1895 and then 1st Monmouth RGA (Vols). Re-enlisted on 1st April 1908 into 4th Welsh Brigade RFA (TF), later renamed 213th Brigade RFA (TF) and landed in France on 23rd November 1915. Transferred to Egypt in February 1916.
