A WWII Minesweeping Distinguished Service Medal group of seven to 'J114281 P Beer PO', George VI DSM, Atlantic Star, Africa Star with clasp, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, War Medal and Gorge VI, Royal Navla LSGC (HMS Polruan). *Notes- Petty Officer Beer was awarded the DSM on the 7th December 1943 'for steadfast courage and skill in a dangerous and important minesweeping operation'. Operation Antidote was a Royal Naval undertaking by the 13th Minesweeping Flotilla for the clearance of mines off Galita and Sousse in the Tunisian waters of North Africa after the surrender of Axis forces in North Africa.
