1971 BSA B25SS "Gold Star" 250cc
Registration Number: CNJ 270K
Frame Number: EE11241
BSA started the unit construction ball rolling in 1958 with the introduction of the BSA C15, a design leaning heavily on its sister company’s product, the Triumph Tiger Cub. The iron-barrelled unit construction C15 range was replaced by an all-alloy unit in 1967. In 1968 a revamped B25 was launched to rectify earlier teething problems, and in 1970 the B25 was updated with the introduction of the B25SS, not only a stronger engine with separate oil filter and wider rear mounting points, but effectively a new model with a new oil-in-frame chassis, conical hubs with twin leading shoe front brake, new alloy front forks and restyled bodywork.
This lovely Gold Star has completed in the region of 500 miles since a comprehensive restoration. Unsurprisingly the BSA runs and rides just as well as it looks, with a lively motor and highly usable character. Complete with a history file and DVD of its restoration, this lovely bike is ready to be enjoyed.
