A SILVER ELECTRIC TABLE LAMP BASE, maker Mappin & Webb, Birmingham 1930, of inverted trumpet form with pierced and engraved foliate panels and socket, 9 1/2" high excluding fitting, fixed base (Est. plus 21% premium inc. VAT)
On first glance it appears to be an upturned converted trumpet vase but the hole for the flex is chased and matches, also the ?socket? would be an unusual ?pedestal?
