British Eight Place 'Desert Rat' MBE Medal Group to 531893 Warrant Officer Class I (Regimental Sergeant-Major) Royal Armoured Corps ("B" Squadron, 7th Hussars) later promoted to Captain Stanley Arthur Blake 7th Hussars, a fantastic court mounted medal group which includes an MBE Awarded for his action in (Durban, South Africa during Operation Crusader - The 7 Queens Own Hussars were one of the cruiser-equipped armoured regiments in 7 Armoured Brigade, 7 Armoured Division, the famous Desert Rats, under 30 Corps, Eighth Army.,) 1939-45 Star, The Africa Star, The Burma Star, The Defence Medal, The 1939-45 Medal, The General Service Medal with Palestine 1945-48 Clasp, Medal for Long Service and Good Conduct (Regular Army). Comes with a good batch of Provenance and photographs, his 1st Class Army Physical Training Certificate (India) issues in Poona 1921, two photos of the Regimental NCO's Inter-War period, Pictures of his being given an award on Parade and a picture of him in later service as a Captain 7th Hussars. There is also a copy of the 1941 Gazette which mentions him for being awarded his MBE. A beautiful group with excellent paperwork and well worth researching. The lot comes with a large selection of Military and Boxing related snippets from Newspapers tracing all the Boxing matches and the athletic career Captain Staley Blake.
