A LATE 19TH CENTURY INDIAN SILVER MUG. of baluster form, profusely chased & embossed with foliage and animals on a matted ground, with a leaf-capped scroll handle and the circular foot with a wooden insert & an applied shield-shaped cartouche, inscribed "PIGEON MATCH CAPTAIN GILLEPSIE 28TH JULY 1870"; 4.25" (10.8cm) high.
