A 19TH CENTURY INDIAN MATCHLOCK RAMPART OR JINGAL GUN. With a 178cm tapering barrel with slightly flared muzzle, with muzzle and foresights, the matchlock action with simple trigger mechanism. The barrel marked with British and Indian armoury marks: 'IPR/EXR/213901, and in Indian script, on sloped wooden stock with carved decoration and five bands holding the barrel to the stock. With ram rod beneath the barrel. 234.5cm overall, approximately 11 kilos in weight *Condition: slight marking and cracking to the timber, light pitting in places to the barrrel.
