An archive of graphic artwork, predominantly for Imperial Tobacco Limited and their subsidiary John Player & Sons, late 20th c, original finished and working mock-ups for various brands and campaigns, mostly designed by Burrows Bew & Moore Limited of Bristol, some by the Village Design Group, comprising 29 designs in watercolour, gouache, &/or mixed media, including Imperial Tobacco Embassy A4 Window Bill, Embassy Mild, Castella Classic Mild Cigars, and others, mixed sizes; others, 32 printed &/or photographically printed and 42 collages, cut-outs, or transparencies, some of which have manuscript of working annotations, including Gold Block: The Aristocrat of Pipe Tobacco; 27 mixed media packet designs, some being exhibition panels, of which 10 have working annotations inscribed on hinged transparencies, including Embassy Focus Point, Embassy Caribbean Cruise, John Player Special Superkings, Churchman’s Classic, Rich Dark Virginia, King Edward Coronet’s Cigars, other varieties without manuscript annotation include John Player Norton, Special, Kingston Ultra Low, Superkings, and Special King Size; and 7 sheets of mounted cigarette packaging prototypes; etc., almost all of this archive portfolio is mounted for presentation in card covers, the largest sheet, (approx. 137)
